Years of detailed consultations and Parliamentary scrutiny culminated in the first change to the law relating to commercial insurance in more than a century as the Insurance Bill received Royal Assent yesterday. We haven’t been backwards in coming forwards about the huge impact of the new Insurance Act 2015. It’s imperative that the industry starts to prepare now for its implementation on 12 August 2016. The existing regime was founded in 1906 and so a makeover for the 21st Century is welcomed with open arms. We will continue to assist all of our customers as they prepare for the changes required by Insurance Act 2015. We do consider that the Act will provide significant opportunities for the insurance industry to meet the needs of its customers in the 21st Century and we look forward to your views, comments and questions. The clock is ticking!
